I’m extremely disappointed with the quality and finishing of these shoes. After waiting almost a month for delivery (ordered 13 April, received 5 May), I expected a properly constructed premium leather shoe, but unfortunately the product falls well below expectations.
The most concerning issue is the structural collapse occurring across the vamp area of the shoe. After minimal wear, the upper leather forms a severe inward collapse/dent rather than developing natural flex creasing. This is not normal break-in behaviour for a well-patterned and correctly lasted leather shoe.
From a construction perspective, this points to one or more of the following:
- Poor upper pattern design
- Incorrect lasting tension during manufacturing
- Insufficient reinforcement/support beneath the vamp
- Excessively soft or improperly structured upper leather
Instead of forming clean horizontal flex creases, the leather caves inward aggressively, causing the shoe to appear misshapen while worn. This gives the impression that the shoe lacks proper structural integrity through the forefoot and instep area.
In addition, the outsole/midsole finishing quality is unacceptable. There are visible manufacturing defects and rough unfinished sections along the sole edges and underside. The sole appears poorly trimmed and inconsistently finished, which should never pass quality control on a new pair of shoes.
Comfort is also far below what was advertised. The fit feels uneven, with pressure and tightness in certain areas, despite the upper simultaneously collapsing in others. This suggests inconsistencies in the internal shaping and last design.
Overall, the experience has been extremely disappointing:
- Excessive lead time from order to delivery
- Poor finishing and quality control
- Structural collapse of the upper
- Visible sole manufacturing defects
- Comfort and fit not matching the advertised standard
I purchased these expecting a quality handcrafted leather shoe with proper construction and finishing. Unfortunately, the product I received feels rushed, poorly structured, and not representative of premium footwear standards.
