I have sent back the boots I ordered as they were 1 size too big. I have heard nothing about the collection which happened about a week ago and have had no updates regarding the boots. I am feeling a little bit annoyed as no communication from your side has give me a not so nice taste in my mouth. Please rectify so I can give a review on the product and not the bad communication or lack there of that I have received
The insoles of the shoes are not beige as shown in the image. So the line above the orange line on the outside is not beige but black. In my opinion it makes a big difference to the feel of the shoe. Very disappointed.
My 2nd pair, they are just the best boost I have ever bought, they fit perfectly, super warm, easy to clean, colour is exactly as I expected. Im very happy and will be back for more.
I've been a devoted fan of a certain UK brand of shoe/ boot since the late 80's, however the last few pairs that I've purchased as recently as last year have not lived up to my standards, with their signature 'bouncing soles' splitting and nobody is able to resole or repair them. Having finalised my breakup with said UK brand, I started hunting for another manufacturer and came across Freestyle shoes, and in particular, the Stormrider Boots in waxy black. I decided to place an order, and as promised they arrived perfectly packaged within 15 working days. To say I love them is an understatement! They are solidly made, but comfortable from the first wear. The workmanship is exquisite and the leather is the proper full grained variety. They look handmade, not in a negative way, but like something that might survive a catastrophic event, and come out looking none the worse. In terms of fit, I'm a size 42, and this boot in size 8 fits well with plenty of room for the toes, and if you want to wear thicker socks, they will accommodate these as well with no problem. If you have thinner legs, and you want a snug fit around your legs, you might need to punch a few more holes in the adjustment straps (which I did with my hole-punchy-tool-for-leather-goods). Once the straps are adjusted, the inside zip makes getting them on and off a pleasure. My only gripe is that I wasn't keen on the brass buckles so I sprayed the them black; but that's not really a complaint I guess, more of a matter of preference. If you want a great product, and would prefer to support a South African company, then this is the way to go! Thank you Freestyle.
