The leather has been tanned to be water resistant and we use a water resistant insole, so if the veldt is full of dew, you shouldn't get your socks wet.
Fitting: The fitting is broad, but true to size. The leather is 1.8/2.0mm thick and unlined, so it will stretch to you foot.

Good quality leather on these shoes, I believe they will last me a long time.
Quite comfortable, with a nice wide 'toe box', so that your toes don't feel squashed. I removed one star because of 1 spot on the shoe. On the inside, where the back and front leather pieces meet, I can feel that 'stitching' when I wear the shoe. I will get used to it, and it's not so bad, but that is one thing that I did notice.
