Designed by Ethwyn Grant, as one of her first leather projects and sold initially in the 80's on Greenmarket Square(which was the original craft and bric a brac market in South Africa and imitated many times since. The all leather eco-friendly leather insole will mould to your foot and become so comfortable that you will want to wear nothing else.

Was very excited to receive my leather sandal. Happy to have a size 9 and they fit perfectly. Absolutely love it!

I absolutely LOVE my sandals, I have been searching for a pair like this for years to no avail. Then my husband happened upon then via the internet knowing how I loved my last pair, that I wore until I just couldn't anymore! I was SO excited, now I know exactly where to shop for fantastic workmanship and service and forever my favourite samdals!!
I knew, buying them, that it would take some time to wear them in, so keep that in mind. While they’re a little tough right now, I occasionally wear them at home until they soften a bit, and once they do - they’re going to be my favourites.

The quality is terrible, and the size change that fits for 11 years now doesn't fit, it is smaller. The soles are cheaper, and it is not handmade anymore; it is hand-made with glue now. I'm very disappointed and the price you pay for it is not worth it at all
Lovely shoe for my husband, he cannot be happier, though the sizing was very far from standard sizing. My husband is a standard size 9 UK (size 43 EU) and we had to order a size 8, which fits perfect on his feet. Had a bit of trouble with the return but the problem was with the courier company and Freestyle made quick work of rectifying the issue.
Overall, we'll be happy to order from Freestyle in the future!
Had the plakkies for less than a week and the stitching on the left one came undone where the toe straps meet. Contacted Freestyle to request this be addressed/remedied and have received no feedback. Not happy with quality especially given the price paid.
