DESCRIPTION: The Karakal is a super comfortable men's walking and everyday work shoe with a generous fit, padded footbed and a durable non-slip, environmentally friendly TPR(Thermoplastic Rubber) sole. The sole is soft underfoot and has sufficient grip, without too much grip, that it picks up excessive dirt. The tongue is padded for extra comfort. This shoe is ideal for everyday use and for casual outdoor walking - definitely one of the most comfortable shoes that we have made.
DETAILS: The upper is made of 1.8/2.0mm full grain, aniline leather, padded around the ankle with a padded tongue and suede detail. The water resistant insole has a fully padded non-removable footbed. The outsole is double-stitched and the non-slip sole is made of a high-quality environmentally-friendly recyclable TPR(Thermoplastic Rubber). The fit is a generous EE width with a high girth and instep. The soles can be replaced and the Karakal is fully repairable, provided it is economically viable.
Leather Care: Crazyhorse leathers can be nourished with Freestyle Leather Fat or Balsam. We recommend Freestyle Leather Cream on the Bundu leathers.
Lovely shoe for my husband, he cannot be happier, though the sizing was very far from standard sizing. My husband is a standard size 9 UK (size 43 EU) and we had to order a size 8, which fits perfect on his feet. Had a bit of trouble with the return but the problem was with the courier company and Freestyle made quick work of rectifying the issue.
Overall, we'll be happy to order from Freestyle in the future!
Had the plakkies for less than a week and the stitching on the left one came undone where the toe straps meet. Contacted Freestyle to request this be addressed/remedied and have received no feedback. Not happy with quality especially given the price paid.
